Smaller tires are an easy swap. Plenty of take offs for sale. But you don't need to worry about having the snort for the camper with big tires. The main drawback there having a tall truck and tall camper is overall height. Pretty easy to get over 12' tall and higher cog is more tippy.
That 9.5 host is the bomb! Haven't seen that model before. Def the biggest you're going to find for a short bed camper. One thing to look at is some sb campers are sb only with the rear wings filled up with storage or generator and some will go on a long bed as well. Typ with no built in generator.
The thought of getting a dedicated camper hauler is cool but you already have a Dooley so seems like a waste. I'd dump the mc/sb for a cc/lb before buying a second rig.
I've toyed with turning my mega into a dually, then think about making it a long bed, then realize with what all that costs I could dam near buy a newer cc/lb dually and not be out much if any $at the end of the day.
