yep, each time you remove material from the rotor, it is capable of holding less btu's. On our race car, rotors are always tossed, never turned.
How much material do you think is being turned off. Unless the rotors are warped. It is literally microns. A measurement so small, you can't see it.
My rotors are skimmed every time the pads are changed. It is part of a good brake job. The pads like it better.
