If the shop is charging hourly to cut rotors then it is definitely not worth it.
New premium front rotors for a 'burb ~$70ea = $140 see here
Even the slowest mechanic can change them out in less than 30mins, make it 45 including the pad replacement, and that's generous.
Premium pads ~$80pair.
$140 rotors + $80 pads + $100 labour = $320. Still cheaper than what the OP paid, with NEW rotors.
