Oh c'mon, .5 micron?! Get real, a human hair is over 50 microns! How do you find something that's 100 times thinner than a human hair? I've used .0005 shim stock and it's so delicate it's almost unusable, and you're talking about something that's 24 times thinner than that. Sorry, just not buying it.
I think you have your measurement nomenclature off a bit. Maybe you're referring to millimeters.
