Not really that much left on the OP's original post. Pretty much came to the conclusion that he didn't get hurt all that much. I think the main reason he was feeling a bit ripped off is that he had hesitated to get the estimate on total cost due to a friend's involvement.
To me "ripped off" means they really got you good. I don't think the OP came out that badly. The views seem equally divided between a decent price, and a bit high.
