- GoinThisAwayExplorerTried sleeping with feet to the front as that put the DH on the side with the electric outlet needed for his CPAP. He had trouble getting in and out that way though so ran electric to the other side and now sleep with heads to the front.
- kbaumExplorerCrawl in head first after too much wine. Can't crawl in backwards anymore not a contortionist.

If we slept with heads toward the back door there is danger of being pushed over the edge head first by pushy, cold dogs in the winter.
This is very true and it doesn't even have to be cold. - Reddog1Explorer II

... Sorry Wayne, I'm taking this survey serious : )
No need to apologize, I take no exception to the survey and do take it serious. I just thought this was an opportunity to throw in a little humor.
As a Moderator, I see humor using the keyboard as not always being recognized. But, I think I have a good sense of humor, and occasionally try it on the forums. Like most people, I prefer the humor to be at expense of someone else but I am willing to be in the box.
If I had no sense of humor, I could easily take offense to "If your sideways, well, you're either short or someone built your camper wrong. Survey not for you." I have no reason to believe the intent of the OP to offend anyone, but I saw an opportunity to poke a little fun, so I did.

EDIT: As a semi-retired alcoholic with occasional flashbacks, I can drink most anything before bedtime. The amount I drink will determine which end of my body goes in what direction, with my height having little influence. More often than not I sleep cross ways (corner-to-corner) of the bed, camping or at home.
Wayne - campn4walleyeExplorerHead to the front. DH is too tall for any other direction. He also has to have the window side because his feet would hit the wall side. Lucky him.

Well, I am having a Jim Beam night, not sure how that affects (or is it effects) the survey. Back on topic! Head toward the front. Several reasons: Lighting is at the front. Cabinet opening is front. Like to have feet hang over the end. Head front because I don't want to smell my wife's feet. The more Jim I have, the more this survey makes sense to me! Sorry Wayne, I'm taking this survey serious : )
The lack of O2 from the extra altitude imparted by the 19.5s is clouding your judgement LOL - dadwolf2ExplorerWell, I am having a Jim Beam night, not sure how that affects (or is it effects) the survey. - HMS_BeagleExplorerMy camper is about 8' wide. So, sideways doesn't work unless you are under 8' tall.
That said, I once owned a Bigfoot 5th wheel, 20' long. the bed was in the overhang, which in this size 5th wheel was a lot like a camper, just a bit taller. The bed (a true queen, not a "travel" queen) was sideways. Enough free space at the foot to get by the other person when you got up. That 5th wheel had the best arrangement for a camper, bar none. If I ever build a custom, it will look just like that.
On a (marginally) related note: in the big long distance racing multihull sailboats they always sleep feet forward so that if they hit an iceberg going 30 knots you don't break your neck. Might apply to camper if someone sleeps underway. - Reality_CheckNomad II

So, how did the Black Crown treat you last night? It was a Grays Peak Vodka night for me...slept with my head up top.
Ahhhh... pleasant. Been a busy morning, so I must not have overdone it.
