This has been a funny thread. Cummings, still a Dodge, etc. :)
Wasn't it reported a while back that Fiat wanted to sell Chrysler, or am I confusing it with the Daimler era? Anyway yeah, pretty much the CUMMINS engine saved the Dodge truck, and that's a good thing... Really.... No, I mean it.
Macaronni was wooing Barra with the idea of a GM Fiat merger failed. Then Fiat was pursuing GM major stockholders into a merger that failed. Then Macoronni threatened a hostile takeover of GM that has seemed to have failed.
Bottom line Macaronni is all dressed up and no wheres to go. :B- BenKExplorerFunny...and confusing without a chart of the year to show whoe's on first,
what's on second...
And these are just for the OEM's...within each OEM has stuff like
Chevy is owned by GM, who owns GMC, etc...that they then rebadge a
Chevy pickup to become a GMC...that Ford also owns Mercury and Lincoln
and that they rebadge Fords to become Lincolns...etc
Then the 'joint developement' stuff...New Process is owned or started
by who and they each OEM those units into their badges...ditto for
lots of other systems/components...
Incestuous to say the least about "who owns who"... :B

It is just a matter of tuning it for a pickup truck.

Their engines in this class are very similar to the Cummins offerings.
BTW their are no longer Dodge pickup trucks. Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram are individual divisions.

Exactly!
"THEY" might desire to change the name to simply "RAM", but WE know it is still a DODGE Ram! - ChooChooMan74ExplorerDodge doesn't have a pickup line aby longer.
