Fiberglass repair

I have a small hairline crack on the front cap that I would like to repair. It's right by the corner trim. How do I go about doing it myself? Tku
  • If it is a crack they make a fiberglass epoxy that squirts out of a 2 part
syringe that you mix and apply to the area. Before applying you dremal out
the crack a little so it has something to hold on to. It can be puchased
at an auto body shop/parts store type of place.

Tough to, but if it is only one single crack them chances are it is an actual crack. I would take it to a boat place and have them look at it, they deal with that sort of thing all the time.
  • the usual I read here for cracks is to drill small holes at each end of the crack to stop it from spreading, then address the crack issue.

  • Check out this site http://www.boatus.com/boattech/casey/fiberglass-repair.asp

What has caused the crack is it a stress fracture or damage.

It could be as simple as seal it with some epoxy.

  • Are you sure its actually a crack, not just the clear coat?
