I use a Baldwin BF 7587 as a primary filter ahead of the factory filter. When I cut it open it is always discolored. I changed it yesterday after about 7.000 miles most of it towing and most of the filter media was discolored. I'm sure I could run longer but it is cheap insurance to change it often.
