One thing I did do was ditch the stock shocks and threw some KYB Monomax shocks on there. Pretty much stopped all the porposing.
They work well for 54 bucks a piece.
Looks like it was undercoated, you can see the overspray on the fuel lines and filter....
Agree on the "bump stops", changed mine and also went with KYB shocks.
One comment: I found out that those aren't really bump stops...if you look, you will see that the lower control arm actually rests slightly on this bumper. This rubber thingy is actually designed to work as part of the suspension along with the torsion bars. The way it was explained to me is that torsion bars have a very linear spring rate, so these blocks add a level of progressive resistance to give the overall spring rate a more progressive profile, ie the more it compresses the more force it takes to compress it. When I changed mine, I found out that the right was one totally gone! As in not there! New ones really helped.
