I just had Janet looking with me. That is huge...
The workmanship is unbelievably good... we just never get to see anything like that now a days. Your crews will always brag about this job and their part in it.
Had you considered metal roofing?
Racoons are cutting through roofs here in TN.... making awful messes. Roofers are bussier than after hail storms. Carefully chosen colors on the metal roofs look pretty darn good... my next one will be metal.
thank you again for sharing.

I've been pretty happy with the framing crew. Four guys, three of them brothers, the lead framer is a little younger than I am, and has had some very good ideas for handling some of the little oddities you run into when you're adding on to an existing structure like this. The other three are younger still.
All are non-smokers and non-drinkers. This is the first time I've had a crew of tradesmen working here that my yard didn't end up looking like an ashtray. I've got my garage fridge sitting on the back patio, and it's full of beer. They don't touch it. I keep it stocked with soft drinks and ice cream for them instead.
I would love to put a green metal roof on the house, but the cost of that is going to keep me from doing that right away.
