Sorry for the delay in updating this, but we've been battling the weather a lot lately. After weeks and weeks of no rain, I knew this would happen: As soon as we start cutting holes in the roof over the house, it would start raining. :M
Yes, that's a sombrero hanging on the wall. :W

I've had to spend a lot of time putting tarps on the roof and taking them off so work can get done. The framing crew is helping, but you know what they say: nobody cares as much for your house as you do. Fortunately, the leaks we've had in the house have been relatively minor. I've had to sweep water off the flooring above the upper bay 3-4 times though. The Advantech sub-flooring is water resistant, but it's not water proof. I've managed to keep it from getting much damage while the roof is being built.

In between the rain storms, we've managed to get the foam sheathing and house-wrap put up.

All the roof decking has been installed now, and covered with tar-paper, but the shingles won't be available until next week sometime so we're keeping the tarps on the roof as a second leak barrier, and to keep the felt from deteriorating.

The soffits and fascias are being installed now. Hopefully we'll see some siding going up this week. It will be fir reverse board and batten (RB&B) plywood sheets to match the rest of the house.

This is what the new room over the upper bay looks like now. Once the doors and windows are installed (maybe late next week) these two windows will be removed so I can start working on the wall that will separate this room from the rest of the house.

This is the wall that looks out over the lower bay roof. These will all be fixed-pane windows. The hole in the wall below the windows is to access the attic space over the lower bay.

The electricians started pulling wires today, and we still have doors and windows to install, the concrete apron slabs to pour, dirt work and asphalt, and the exterior paint. Then the interior finishing will be my job.
