You're right, I should look around for the closest scrap metal yard. I could probably haul what I have to them in one load on my trailer. The wood pile however would take at least two, and maybe three loads to haul off. I'm afraid that would be difficult, time consuming, and costly to make happen. The area of my yard with the burn pile isn't accessible to my truck, so I'd have to move it all with the tractor.
The welders worked quicker than they even estimated. When I got home from work yesterday I noticed something new. This looks pretty dang good. That's just what I wanted. :B

Good consistancy. It looks like the rail goes right through the wall.

The inaugural drive into the garage. I offered to break a bottle of cheap wine on the nose of her car, but she turned me down. We consumed it instead. :B
