I've been experimenting with LED's and comparing them to CFBs
The newest LED on the market is the Cree 60W equivalant, it is only available from Home Depot. I used 2 identical lamps in our living room... one had a two year old well used three way 50/100/150 CFB
What amazed me was the 60W Cree was almost as bright as the CFB on the 150W setting. (I didn't realize just how bad flouresent lights degrde.
I am only buying a couple of the Cree's for high use areas... they are $12.97 each.
It occurs to me that the ones switched by your photo cells would pay for themselves in a year or less...as compared to incondesents.
They are bright... and cool... cold doesn't effect them.
AND, THEY ARE GUARENTEED FOR 10 YEARS, just return them to Home Depot for replacement if they fail during that time.
