That tire had a date code of 0212, Checked paperwork and I bought them in 2012, I agree that is the only tire in that bad of condition, all other three have hair line cracking at the edge of the tread! I do use Aerospace 303 on my tires also. I don't get it, I am a firm believer in Maxxis and everything I read about told me I should only buy them!!I do not cover the tires at all,I guess that will change.
Yes they do sit for long periods of time like up to four months between trips. This year we have only been out three times.
I hope the tire store makes good with some kind of help with the warranty. I will buy five more and cover and what not, what else is comparable in reliability? I took off four tow max tires that were seven years old and they were cracked also and low on tread! I am 1600 pounds under weight of what these tires can handle, at 50 psi they are rated for 1735 a tire, I am just over 5200.
