It sounds like you are confident you have solved your tire issue to your satisfaction since you "have ordered five new Maxxis tires". It would seem you are happy with the performance of that brand and type, so as the saying goes, you pays your money and takes your choices.
Regarding mounting LT tires on my trailers, yes, my local GoodYear store ( which is also a approved TireRack installer ) does mount my LT tires on my trailers, as well as my local Ford dealer installed a set of LT's on one of my horse trailers last year.
