I guess I have been lucky as hell. (Knock on wood) I haven't had a blow out with either Maxxis or GY Marathon tires. This fall I will be coming up on 20K on my Maxxis. I guess I should expect a blow out.
Let me add, I do not "worship" at the alter of Maxxis. I do consider it a very good ST tire. I am also not opposed to putting LT's on my light trailer. Probably would if I could fit them without having to buy brand new wheels.
But so far my ST type tires have done well for me. Of course, I may have a blow out next weekend when I take the trailer out for the first time since parking it late last fall.
However, my ST tires are always filled to 50 psi, and I never pull at a sustained speed over 65.
