I have lost my confidence in Maxxis tires.
I have a 12 ft utility trailer that had Maxxis M8008 tires.
Less than 20,000 miles and tread depth was still 8/32 no weather checking and even tire wear.
Trailer is stored in an insulated shop building when not used.
One tire failed last summer with tread separation. Was forced to buy new tires on the road. Replaced both had the good tire checked and all was good. Replaced the spare which is stored inside the trailer with the good Maxxis.
The other day I needed to get something out of the trailer and this is what I found.

The date code is 2003 but I have had many tires go 15-20 years and not do this.
In fact I sold a 1975 Honda XL250 a couple months ago with orginal tires.
Now do not get me wrong I do not recommend using 15-40 year old tires. I did make sure the guy that bought my XL250 know the tires were original and I would not recommend he do any highway travel with the tires.
I don't pray at the Maxxis alter either ! LOL.. but their LT bravo series has been 100% reliable for me for years.. sadly I can't say that about the Maxxis ST..
