Pulling two horses is not that hard. You have a heavy trailer and you list your horses at 1,600 pounds apiece. Are they draft breeds? A big QH normally goes around 1,250 or so. A half ton can tow a two horse trailer.
Plenty of people around here haul stock trailers full of cattle or 8-10 horses. Diesels are preferred by far.
