First 6 months of 2014 sales numbers

Pretty easy to understand graphic representations.
  • Interesting, GM twins combine to beat Ford in the 150/1500 market, but doesn't even get half/way in the 250/2500 market.

    I personally believe it's the 'ride quality' that sells GM in the 150/1500 market, because a lot of buyers never use the 150/1500 truly as a work truck, it's more of a weekend yard work and light hauling for family projects, and even the GM interior looks like a car with a bed.

    Whereas, the Ford really shines in the work/power category, so makes sense the ride would mean less at that level. When you want a truck to truly work, you care less about a rougher ride...

    That's my opinion as a very long time GM owner and multiple GM trucks both 1500s and 2500s -- among a few other brands occasionally.
  • The current sales are close to what I see on the roads in my area except the Heavy-Duty market, I see more Ram trucks than GM. The Half-Ton market seems to weighted more to GM's favor than what I see on the chart and Toyota's have always had a stronger following in the NW than the national charts show...
