But, my only area of displeasure comes in the steep winding terrain where the gap between 1st and 2nd gear seems like a mile. I find myself spinning at 4500 RPM in 1st or lugggggggging at 1400 RPM in second to maintain a typical curvy road speed of say 30 MPH.
i run a 6 speed Ford gasser. I do not understand the gap on the Dodge tranny as described. It seems to me that what is indicated that if you spin up to 4500 in first it would drop to 1400 when it shifts to second. Surely 30 mph in 1st does not equate to 1400 in second at 30 mph, or does it?
