First camping trip in the HTT!

Went out for the weekend in our new (to us) HTT. Was a really great experience. Love the trailer, everyone slept comfortably, was a breeze to tow and having a good sized kitchen & bathroom is such a great upgrade from our PUP. Looking forward to the next trip!
  • Glad to hear you had a great experience on your first trip. Such an upgrade going from a popup to an HTT. You will find the bathroom very convenient especially in the middle of the night, and a lot more space and storage.
Enjoy your HTT and start building memories.

I always liked the idea of the beds folding down on the outside like they do. This does not take away any room whatsoever on the inside.

I will admit the beds doors are so large and the fact they fold down from the top will probably need to have more inspection of the seals and other weather tight features. It seems the earlier hybrids large doors would get slight warped and create a possible water leak point.

This idea certainly gives you alot of inside room to not have to walk around a bed that is always made up in the bedroom area. It is strange how one method prevails over another method. At one time the thought was to have a folding bed that drops down on the inside but it never really caught on. Maybe there is more of those type folding beds that I am familiar with.

We have been a POPUP tent trailer bunch for many years now and have never really suffered much in keeping cool or warm as the need may be.

I suspect the hybrid is much the same...

  • Temperature was never an issue in the PUP, we would just open everything up and let the air flow through. I don't think this will be quite as possible in the HTT, and we only have a fantastic fan, not A/C, we'll see what happens in the heat of summer.

The doors seem well sealed, but it is definitely something to keep an eye on. (well 'door' in our case since i only have 1 fold down bed)
