Just to have a conclusion to the propane detector going off, I found a small propane bottle that we were using for the grill that had a very small slow leak , I had placed it in a box with some others in the storage tray and packed up, when we turned the bathroom fan on with the windows closed it drew the small amounts of propane into the camper from the storage tray under the floor and it pooled right whee the detector is , in fact with the windows closed and either fan on there is a lot of air flow right through where the hole is cut for the alarm mounting so it was drawing it right to the detector. these detectors are pretty sensitive since we never smelled any propane at all which made it more of a mystery. I purchased an inexpensive gas leak detector which is how I found the problem. having had RV's of one kind or another for 30 years I probably should have had one years ago and now that I have it I wont need it again .
