My truck actually gets better fuel economy on winter blend or just perhaps with the colder temps due to less regens.
A recent trip to our deer camp and back yielded 21 mpg with 3 passengers and gear.

You must get the magic Fords when you buy...I ran my 6.7 Ford through 3 winters and thousands of miles...I could tell which tankful of fuel was the first with winter fuel as soon as I drove with an empty truck...while summer fuel would see 20 to 21 mpg...my winter fuel mileage was always 17 to 18 running empty...
