The DW and I cut to the chase immediately. We use the pricing number being spouted by the saleman as a guide to keep us looking in the price range we want.
When it comes to final figures I tell them I want the best price they are willing to give me. It includes everything; all fees and prep charges and etc. Then I tell them I am going to write that number on the check and I only bring one check; any difference comes out of their pocket.
Do not be afraid to walk out; do not buy on the first trip. They make more TTs every day.
