All good advice given so far. I might add: it sounds like you have a 800lb round bar wdh with a friction type sway bar on one side. The round bars that are latched up with a chain on each side are your spring bars. That unloaded weight from the rear of your Tahoe and transfers it to the front axle. I would lower the trailer onto the hitch but don't put any weight onto the hitch until you put the spring bars on. Adjust them to the appropriate chain link until they're snug then raise the trailer jack. Also I would add a second friction type away bar and crank both of them down as tight as you can by hand. If you do get in a situation where the trailer sways, say for instance you see a semi or bus getting ready to pass on the highway, tap your trailer brakes (not your truck brakes) to straighten the trailer back out.
