first RV purchase

Hi I'm new here. I have been camping for the past few years and last year I borrowed my girlfriend's old pop-up a few times. Now I'm in the shopping for travel trailer and I have been looking at many campers online and my local dealer. Anyway, I narrowed down to one, at the rv dealer used 2006 jayco jayflight 27BHS (no slide) with three years warranty for $7,995 plus sale tax, brake controller, and equalizer hitch (up to $9,000 total). I think that's a good deal to me. Not looking for a brand new ones, just looking to spend less than $10,000 on travel trailer.

What do you guys think?
  • I think that is overpriced for a 9 year old value priced travel trailer. My 9 year old TT is bigger, has new tires and in excellent shape and I value it at about $6k. I suspect the so called 3 year warranty that they dangled in front of you is going to cost you, oh, about $3k. Offer $6k and tell them to keep their worthless warranty. The hitch is worth $500.
  • Jayco is a good brand. Make sure they do a good PDI (pre-delivery inspection) so you know how everything works and make sure everything works as it should before you take delivery. And welcome to the forum.
