Glad to here your trip went well. "On the Trip" learning is always a fun and interesting adventure.
While at the North Rim watch for thunderstorms. Then run to the Lodge and get a table by the windows. Order an adult beverage or two and watch them move across the canyon. One of the sights that you won't forget. Daughter spent two years on a Fire Engine on the North Rim, 04-05. Outstanding place to explore.
If time permits, drop the TC and take the truck out to Fire Point via Nat Forest and back into GCNP. Watch for deer, elk and buffalo (yes wild ones in forest).
