Used .
I bought 3 near new used RV's from private parties starting in 1995 .
We were already campers and boaters .
I lost a minimal amount on the first 3 RV's until we factory ordered a brand new trailer .
That was a dozen years ago .
We found that we had to go camping to gain the knowledge and also " schmooze with the "trailer trash " in the campground to find out all of the little nuances that we now consider mandatory .
My wild guess is that 50 % of first time RV buyers sell their first trailer within 5 years .
The advantage of buying from a private party is that they often threw in a lot of the gadgets and necessary supplies .
And we could tell right away if they took good care of ALL of their stuff .
