Partly it depends on if you are "handy" -- a used trailer has no warranty. We bought our first one used because we were not sure we really were going to like trailering (we DO!!) and we wanted to save some money. I would do the same thing again, but I am a person who likes to spend a lot of time with tools in hand, standing there trying to figure out how to fix something.
