Buy used so you can trade it which happens all the time.
I would go smaller and lighter. For two people there are plenty of trailers now in the 22-23 foot range that are very comfortable and much easier to tow. Stay with aluminum frame and fiberglass rather than stick and tin if you can. I am betting that your truck will be much happier towing less than 5,000 pounds than over that amount.
