OH! You're right. It took us 20 minutes just to get to get to the freeway. It was 45 minutes once on the freeway. We did do it in the middle of the day, though. Street cleaning was 8 to noon Thursdays and we'd make sure that we were back by 11:50 so we could pull in behind the sweeper. When our son still lived with us he'd park his truck there after it passed or we'd call a neighbor to block the space in front of our house.
I contacted HB city works to see if I could get one of those "No Parking 8 to Noon Thurs." signs. They said that if any became available they'd let me know. We want to put it in the middle of our 1/4 mile driveway. :D
