Fifth and sixth gears are both overdrive gears. You would want to lock out sixth to prevent the tranny from shifting in and out of sixth. Just as in the older trannys they had a lock out button for overdrive.
Congrats OP'er. Glad you like your new truck. An F350 with the 6.2 is on my short list. Had an Excursion V10 with a 5Star tuner. It was like the truck lost 500 lbs after installing the tow tune. And much quicker and positive shifts.
