First Tow with my 6.4 Hemi

My truck and trailer weight truck 2015 ram cc DRW 7,704 full of gas and me. Trailer
24 ft enclosed car trailer loaded 8,000. Total 15,740.
Short trip good weather, total miles on truck 1,502. Fuel hand cal at 9.5 mpg.
Truck has plenty of power. My last truck was a diesel and yes its easier with the diesel.But the fuel miles are very similar.
Some of you ask why a DRW I just like the Way they tow.The rear is 3.73

Thanks for the real world numbers. I am a little disappointed with the mileage but that is more in line with what a gas engine gets. When I pull 8000 pounds with my Cummins with 3.73 axles I am at 12-14 mpg hand calculated. However, the 6.4 would be the truck I would get next if I want a gas engine. It is an impressive engine.

Ditto on the dually. They are sooooo stable towing and hauling plus the increased payload capabilities. It is the best $1200 option for towing/hauling for a truck.

Great info. Your weights are very close to mine and if I had to replace my current truck, it would be a hard decision of what to buy.
