don't know why a small ceramic cube heater wouldn't be a better cure for cold nights. that said, when I lived in Cincinnati there was a lot of weather that was very humid and chilly. the perfect solution at that time was to put a dehumidifier in my bedroom and close the door. it took out moisture and produced heat. both desirable traits.
