As you know the truck has plenty of power. I ran 99% in TH mode and was very pleased. My total economy ended up at 9.12 mpg for the 110 mile RT.
My weights were as follows:
Pre hook up:
Front 3,400lb
Truck 6,050lb
Rear 2,650lb
With trailer loaded, 1 kid, 2 dogs and some wood in the bed:
Front 3,200lb
Truck 7,050
Rear 3,900
Trailer 6,900
There were winds gusting 20-30 head/crosswind on the way up. It was not uncomfortable but at times it was definitely two hands on the wheel. On the way home I hooked an extra link on the WD bar. It felt different for sure. The only other comment on the handling is the sidewall flex in the stock tires. I feel a lot of the wiggle felt in the rear was just that, sidewall flex. I will be changing out the tires for some E rated coopers in the near future.
