For fresh food I'm not that worried, but what about frozen food in the freezer? I think it will unfreeze at some point during the travel.
Moreover the pleasant part of travelling with an RV on long travel is to be able at some place to stop in a parking lot somewhere to take some rest and have a lunch. If I can't open and use the fridge (because it will loose it's temperature) during travel it's rather sad.
I am still considering the inverter at this point. I'm pretty much scared about using propane in any situation, so I'm not more comfortable using LP while in motion.
