I totally agree that your first will not be your last. You will find the learning curve on what you really want in your first TT, some of what works for you and some that you would want different in the next one. For that reason I suggest going used, forget the dealers add ons that are all profit and just try to get a clean and well cared for unit. Figure on keeping it a couple years to learn what you really want in an RV. Most used RV TT lose about fifty percent of their new value in five years so the money you save can be tremendous and the loss when you sell it more manageable. Look at tank sizes, number of doors, slide outs, bunks or not for family, size of bathroom and shower or tub, etc. There are lots of things to think about besides floor plans. A few quality hours on these forums will give you some ideas of the better units. A pre-owned quality coach can be a better investment going into the TT world than a new less quality unit. Also make sure you use gross weights not salesmen 'talk' or dry weights when looking at size and to be sure your tow vehicle is up to the task of whatever you find. Use the manufacturer's towing guide for that information, not a saleman's optimism about what your vehicle can tow.
