I also recommend used (pre-owned) TT as one's first TT. Or, even one's 2nd and 3rd TTs as well. Pre-Owned are less costly compared to brand new, one can get bings / bangs without too much tears and one can vertically learn on them as well. Use for a few years and determine what works or doesn't work for you. Then, decide to buy brand new. Or, keep until it falls apart. LOL!!!
If wondering, I bought pre-owned (1.5 years old) TT and got one heck of a discount on it. And when the kids spilled the grape juice on its kitchen chairs and under table rug within 2 months of usage, I didn't cry about it. Simply clean and keep using it...
Does one get what they pay for? Buy "brand new" for $34K (after taxes). Or, buy pre-owned for $22K (after taxes). Save $12K in 1.5 years? And, route some of that saved $12K into immediate upgrades (like Surge protection, etc. etc.) into the pre-owned unit. Same box, same interior and same outsides for $12K less???
Pre-owned (and its cost savings) was worth it for me...
Hope this helps in your research...
