Five days to launch!

Something to look forward to, as of 5 pm this evening the western end of the province has about 1" of snow! Ain't spring great?

Take lots of pictures of the views, the family, and your rv. Then post them somewhere and give us a link. I love looking at peoples vacations next winter when I'm stuck at home.

As one other poster said, take your time getting there! Gonna be COLD in NS in May. Its a beautiful province but I prefer July! Definitly go to the tourism office when you hit the Island. They can tell you where to go and not go!

Not much danger of cold or snow up here now. I just took the studded tires of Thursday. This is an awesome location to visit. Very RV friendly. Be prepared for "sticker shock" at the fuel pump! But the exchange rate is in your favour. If you have any questions, or need assistance PM me, I'm happy to help.

You are going to have a wonderful time. We started out for our second trip to Newfoundland in 2014 but got so interested in Nova Scotia that we stayed for over a month and we didn't even go to Cape Breton Island. It was a super relaxed time with wonderful people. Don't pass up the local visitor centers and don't hesitate to ask locals for advice. We truly went "off the beaten path" as a result. We also bought a Nova Scotia backroads map book. It cost about $25 but was worth its weight in gold. Enjoy! lizzie

2000 miles as the crow flies but there is always something to see or do over yonder! ;) DW and I are definitely more about the journey rather than the destination. As for the cold.... We've lived in South Florida for 35 years. It's the cold we're going for!!! :)

Yeah right!!!! DW retired as of this past Wednesday.... I have to work this whole week but mentally we're already gone! I have a three month paid leave of absence in recognition of 35 years of service. I've spent half the day in the camper and van looking for somerhing else I can do to get ready!!! :B

He is probably like me... All roads go through Gatlinburg - Smoky Mtns haha Coming or Going...

We tried the RV TRAVELING for awhile and was just too much money OUT GO for what we got from it...

We hardly ever get more than 300 miles away from home now at our favorite off-road camping spots...

Guess we are called RV CAMPERS now haha...
