Fixing a Boo-boo

I've come to learn over the years that whenever we take our TT on a fairly long trip it's pretty typical for something to break, dent, bust off or stop working altogether.

This year there were two things. I broke the cheapo plastic air filter on my Q-Industries compressor, and our TV (improperly stowed) jumped off its perch and swung down, holding fast to the coax, and popped a small hole in the wall just above one of the dinette seats. (See before and after pictures below.)

We considered several options for fixing the hole in the wall, and after getting a suggestion from our local RV shop we decided to go with wood trim.

The hole was punched just below a wallpaper border. As many of you know, matching RV wallpaper can be a nightmare, so we took some 2 inch decorative pine trim from Home Depot, and decided to get enough to run it all the way around the dinette so it looked to be part of the set. (It also runs along the other side of the dinette but is not pictured below.) We decided on paint instead of stain and picked a color that complimented the color scheme in the TT. Once it was painted, I attached the trim with a pin-nailer using 3/4 inch fasteners.

What do you think?
