The winch will be a consideration and possibly a limitation when selecting a base plate.
E-trailer has an extensive information website about trailering.
Maybe start here: http://www.etrailer.com/tv-best-2014-jeep-wrangler-dinghy-wiring-options.aspx
I have a 2015 Wrangler with Warn winch, nothing there that limits a base plate. But I don't use the standard low hanging base plates, base plates are attached straight off the frame on a Hard Rock 4x4 bumper. LOD also sells bumpers that they will custom fit/weld tow bar brackets. Although if you aren't going to do harder 4x4 trails, I suppose the regular base plates they sell on Etrailer would be cheaper and OP could keep his current front bumper.
I used Etrailer for the integrated tail light wiring harness, tow bar and supplemental braking equipment.
