What's been the best towing hitch to put on the front of my 2014 Jeep? I'd like the absolutely least obtrusive looking one when I'm just driving the Jeep alone. Anotherwords, I don't want my Jeep looking funky. But I still want a good one.
I will be running my TC and 48" SuperTruss/Superhitch. The Jeep itself still has the stock Rubicon front bumper on it.
. . .
Don't know about the "best" tow bar, but I put a Roadmaster 14321 Tow Bar Mounting Bracket on my 2014 Rubicon unlimited. It's not obnoxious in terms of looks -it's very low profile actually. We use it as a daily driver.
In fact, as someone else mentioned, those mud tire really howl going down the highway. Last summer I bought a set of five NEW USEd tires and rims off a Wrangler (regular street tires) and put them on the Rubi for driving around town. Before heading south for the winter, I switched back to the mud tires - can't hear them howl when it's being towed.
(Its quite common to find that people "upgrade" to mud tires (and lift kits) for the "look" and then sell off the OEM tires and rims - for cheap when they can't store them.)
I discussed the cost of replacing the mud tires due to premature wear from towing - we've come to the conclusion that it's part of the cost of "doing business" ie; having fun.
