Fleetwood Elkhorn Construction
I am looking at buying a 2003 Fleetwood Elkhorn 9D. Are these wood frame construction or aluminum? Can't find much info on the Elkhorn campers. Any info I can get on it would be appreciated. Steve

My 2002 Fletwood Caribou does have aluminium frame.
But it is skeleton frame only, when lot of structural beams are wood only.
As I "experienced" there is no aluminium in generator box frame, mounted in rear wing.
If you have a chance to see it, open refrigerator inspection door and with good flashlight and mirror see around the corner.
You should see aluminium if it is there.
I also have "aluminum frame" sticker on the rear.
