Avoid deed restricted developments, condos, and such and you won't have a problem.
Some city's can be touchy about such things but most are not as long as the camper part is stored being a fence.

If in doubt, check with the code enforcement people before you buy a place.

Have fun. We lived in FL most of our life. Those summers can be miserable, but sitting out back in February wearing shorts makes up for July and August.
