Faststreak, you were in my neck of the woods. Welcome to Florida. If you want to see Manatee blue springs park in Deland should still have some there. They normally leave for open water earlier but with the late spring they are hanging around the inlets and rivers. If your into tourist trap stuff I think New Smyrna beach is better than Daytona. You can drive on the beach there as well. Not sure about taking your camper though. Anyway, it's a few hours north from where you are but consider yourself welcome.
