I carry a Krause model 121321 in the covered bed of my Ram 1500. It is 12' long with a single hinge and folds to 6' & can be set up as a step ladder. By far the handiest ladder I've ever used around the house and on the road. Bought it primarily for the trailer. Rated at 300 lbs.
EDIT: Just realized there was a recall on this model ladder made between Dec 1997 and May 1998. Mine is older than that and continues to work flawlessly.
