My TT did not come with an attached ladder but I need a way to keep the top of my camper and my slide clean. Would I be better off to have a ladder installed or just carry a 12" folding ladder in ...

To the OP, I when through the same questions and found that there was no place to install a permanent ladder without some major reinforcing. My model wasn't built with supports in the wall to install a ladder.
We now go with a folding ladder that we carry in the back of the truck. TTs are good that way. It leaves lots of room in the bed of the truck to carry stuff when you don't have a 5th wheel hitch in there.
