We must be different !
When we went from tenting with the kids, we bought a small pop up and paid cash for it.
When we decided to go to Alaska, we bought a 19 footer, (hard side) and paid cash for it.
Seven years after that my wife wanted a sofa, so she could sit and do knitting instead of doing it at a dinette, so we bought a 25 footer and paid cash for it.
Two years ago we got sick and tired of trying to get state park sites in the Florida Keys and found a steal deal on an Rv lot in key Largo, so we cashed in our hard earned US saving Bonds and bought it.
last year we sold our 25 footer and bought a brand new 40 footer which we put permanently on our lot, and we paid cash for that.
After raising eight children all who have gone through college on scholarships and hard work in part time jobs, we feel we are blessed and are the happiest couple in the world
Almost forgot; last year, me at 81 and she at 79 bought stand up paddleboards to go with our canoe and kayak fleet, and paid cash for them.
If I had to finance any of the above, instead I would still be tent camping and love it
