Its funny, in the jeep world its almost impossible to find a 16" tire anymore, and everything is going 17.
Our tire sponsor hit me up a while back asking if I had 18's on my truck, he had warehouses full of 18" load range E tires and nobody to buy them, was willing to start giving them away to get some hype going.
But I love and will stay with bfg at's in 285 on 16. Great ride, great wear, great price, great load index. ;)
We own two Jeeps, my wife's and my DD. My experience is 15" wheels and tires are getting harder to find. I did look at 16" options when I put new wheels/tires on my wife's 2007 Rubicon, went with 15" 33x12.5 as the 16" options for 33" tires were all E rated, heavy and likely too stiff for a light Jeep. 33" E rated tires for 16" are very plentiful and all are rated 3750 so seems my best bet is to sell the 17" set and get some 16x8 wheels. Can find wheels as cheap as $100/wheel for Pro Comps which are nice wheels and rated pretty high.
